Yesterday, I watched Mortdecai at the cinema.  It stars Johnny Depp, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ewan McGregor, as the main stars.  I watched this movie because of these three stars, literally.  I've seen some negative reviews, so I lowered my expectation before I went to the cinema yesterday.  Watching the trailer, I can tell it will be a silly comedy movie.  This kind of movies are usually not to my liking, however, there has been silly comedy movie that came through and to my liking.  Very little, but it's possible.  After watching it, the movie didn't really reach my expectation, even though I lowered it before walking into the theatre.  Johnny Depp and Gwyneth Paltrow were both doing British accent.  I can already tell that Gwyneth Paltrow will not be able to pull off a decent British accent because she has all this American vibes around her that she just doesn't look right to be British.  It's nothing against her, it's just how it is.  Some actors/actresses just don't look right with a British/American accent.  I'm talking about both American and British (or any other country) actors/actresses.  Gwyneth Paltrow just happen to be one of them.  Johnny Depp on the other hand, I always look at him as a versatile actor who can pull off any accents if he wants to.  HOWEVER, his British accent sounded so fake in this movie.  I was surprised, I'm not sure if it was meant to sound fake to compliment the "silly comedy movie" or...not.  Whichever it was, neither of them impress me.  I admit, there are some nice humour to it that made me laugh, but overall...I think this movie was not a least not for me.  I was not very impressed by it.  I don't know, nothing interesting in the plot, and Johnny Depp, Gwyneth Paltrow and Ewan McGregor didn't have their best performance too.  So, it just feels like a let down to me.  This is just my opinion, other people in the cinema seems to laugh a lot, so I'm guessing they were enjoying themselves.  So, I guess it really depends on either this humour is your kind of humour or not.  If I am to rate this movie from 1 to 10 with 10 being the best.  I will give this movie a 4.5
