Previously, I always write reviews on movies I just watched at the cinema...sometimes I skip one or two, but lately, I've been procrastinating on writing movie reviews to the point where it is pointless to write one anymore because it's long overdue. Hahaha. My bad, I watched Tomorrowland, Minions and American Heist. And I didn't write reviews for any of them. At first it was because I got caught up doing something else, so I didn't have the time to write anything, but after awhile, I just got lazy because it's been too long. To compress all reviews into one post...I would say between the three movies, probably Tomorrowland is the one I prefer the most. This doesn't necessarily means it's a really good movie, just that it's probably the best out of the three. I won't say Tomorrowland is bad either, just that it's not satisfying enough. I like the theories that they have, but the delivery of it is just not as good as it could've been. It's not really something I will say for kids, because I think the plot is a little complicated and deep for kids to truly understand...so, I don't really know what's the target audience for that movie. It's like stuck somewhere in between that it just not satisfying for the adults and at the same time a little complicated for the kids. I watched the movie with my nieces and both of them think the movie is too complicated. My rate for this movie from 1 to 10 with 10 being the best...probably 5/10. The second to come out of three, will be Minions. I like both of Despicable Me movies, but Minions are just a sad prequel. I don't like it. There are some funny parts...but it's just too plain. I don't like it. I do like the fact that one of the minions said "Terima Kasih" which is "Thank you" for Malay at the end of the movie. But the rest of it is just...plain. Me no likey. Which is sad, coz Despicable Me were really creative, and good, and funny. My rate for this me will be 4/10. Lastly, American Heist....I confess, I watched this movie because I saw Adrian Brody and I thought this must be good. I was so wrong. Adrian Brody trying to be all ghetto-ish? Just so wrong. And just a little side note, saying the word "Fuck" in every single sentence throughout the movie will not make the movie any better. The plot is terrible, the performance of the cast is just...poor, I don't know, it just feels off. It's a disaster from the start, I wish I can get my money back. My rating for this movie is probably 2.5/10. I really don't like it at all. So, there you go. A long overdue movie review all bundle up in one post. I will be watching Ant-man tomorrow...I hope I will be writing review about that movie at a more appropriate timing. I hope. Haha. We'll see.
